Strawberry jam with pectin

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 quart (950 ml) cleaned strawberries
3 eaches To 4 tsp. (15-20 ml) liquid artificial sweetener
1 each Package powdered pectin
1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
Red food coloring as desired.

Directions

Crush strawberries in 1-½ quart saucepan. Stir in artificial sweetener, food coloring, powdered pectin, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Continue to stir 2 minutes. Pour into freezer containers, cover and freeze. Thaw before serving. Store in refrigerator after opening. Yield: About 2-⅔ cups (640 ml) 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) = 5 calories.
