More Back of the Box Gourmet By Michael McLaughlin Among the zillions of back-of-the-box recipes that could not be included in my first collection, few had more vocal supporters than this easy, three-ingredient stir-up. Combining basic, non-perishable pantry items--the kind you're likely to have on hand anyway--and providing a sweetly oniony glaze for everything from chicken to frankfurters, it's simple, quick, easy to remember and it tastes good, too; quintessential back-of-the-package cookery.
In a small bowl, blend all ingredients. Use as a glaze for chicken, spareribs, kabobs, hamburgers or frankfurters. Brush on during the last half of cooking. Can be stored covered in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
MAKES about 2½ cups glaze
NOTE: Recipe can be doubled.
