Tandoori salmon

1 | tablespoon | Olive oil |
1 | Garlic clove(s) finely chopped | |
6 | 8oz salmon steaks about 1 1/4\" thick | |
1 | tablespoon | Garam masala |
Directions
In a bowl, combine the olive oil and garlic. Rub the mixture all over the salmon. Sprinkle with garam masala and season lightly with salt.
Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
Light a grill or preheat the broiler. Grill or broil salmon steaks, turning once, for about 4 minutes per side, or until nicely charred and just cooked through.
Transfer each salmon steak to a warmed plate and remove the central bone with a fork. Serve with Peach Chutney and Minted Yogurt Sauce (see separate recipes).
