Teriaki sauce mix

cup WATER
cup SOY SAUCE
¼ cup RUM
3 CLOVES GARLIC; PEELED & HALVED
2 tablespoons SUGAR
1 teaspoon GRATED GINGERROOT; OR1/4DRY

Directions

1. COMBINE ALL INTREDIENTS IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER WITH A TIGHT FITTING LID.

LET STAND AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR 2-3 WEEKS (!). POUR INTO A CLEAN BOTTLE, SEAL WELL; STORE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. (PERSONALLY, I PUT MY OLD TERRIAKI BOTTLE IN THE REFRIGERATOR)
