Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 C. sifted flour
1 C. sugar (divided use)
1 C. egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tartar
¾ Tsp. vanilla
¼ Tsp. almond extract

Directions

Sift flour and ¾ cup of the sugar. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy, and slowly add the remaining ¼ cup sugar. Beat until stiff. Add vanilla and almond extracts. Sift flour mixture into the egg whites, ¼ cup at a time.

Pour into lightly greased tube pan. Cut batter with spatula to decrease any air bubbles. Bake in 350° oven for approximately 40 minutes.
