Unsweetened hazelnut butter

Ingredients

cup Hazelnuts; (about 7 1/2 ounces)
3 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a baking pan toast hazelnuts in one layer in middle of oven 10 to 15 minutes, or until colored lightly and skins are blistered. Wrap nuts in a kitchen towel and let steam 1 minute. Rub nuts in towel to remove loose skins. Do not cool. In a food processor grind hazelnuts to a fine paste.

Add oil and pulse until combined well.

Yield: 1 cup
