Wary's bean tarts

2 Dozen tart

Ingredients

1 cup Cooked great northern or
Pinto beans
2 larges Eggs
1 cup Butter or margarine
1 cup Packed brown sugar
1 cup Light Corn syrup
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
Currants
24 Prepared 3-inch tart shells

Directions

Mash or puree beans. Beat eggs; add to beans. Add the next five ingredients and beat well. Place a few currants in each shell. Pour in the filling. Bake at 350' for 20 minutes or until nicely brown.

(Variations: Maple flavoring can be substituted for vanilla extract, and pecans or walnut for currants.) Yield: 2 dozen tarts or 1 pie
