Yakitori sauce

¼ | cup | Sake wine |
1 | cup | Mirin wine |
1 | cup | Soy sauce |
1 | tablespoon | Sugar |
2 | tablespoons | Cornstarch |
⅓ | cup | Water |
Directions
Combine sake and mirin wines in a medium-size saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add soy sauce and sugar. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to boiling mixture. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Serve hot over baked, broiled, or roasted chicken. Yields: 2/1-2 cups
