Zesty orange and onion rice

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 tablespoons Water
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 medium Onion, chopped
2 cups Fresh orange juice
2 cups Water
2 cups Long-grain white rice
1 teaspoon Dried oregano
¼ teaspoon Black pepper
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes

Directions

Heat 3 tablespoons water in a saucepan and cook garlic and onion over medium heat until just tender, 4-5 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients and heat to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat until the liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
