Zesty stewed tomatoes

Ingredients

3 tablespoons Butter or margarine
¼ cup Finely chopped onion
¼ cup Finely chopped green pepper
6 larges Tomatoes, peeled & quartered
¾ teaspoon Salt
teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Sugar
teaspoon Garlic salt
½ teaspoon Dried oregano leaves

Directions

1. In a deep, 2-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole melt butter or

margarine in Microwave Oven 30 seconds. Add onion and green pepper, and heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 minutes or until lightly browned. 2. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.

3. Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 5 to 6 minutes or until tomatoes are very tender. 5tir occasionally. Serve hot or cold
