Baked limas in chili sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Dried lima beans
2 teaspoons Salt
2 teaspoons Sugar
1 cup Chili sauce
2 tablespoons Melted butter or fat
1 Bay leaf

Directions

Soak the beans overnight in water to cover. Drain. Add fresh water to cover, and bring to a boil. Add the salt and sugar. Cook over low heat 1½ hours. Drain. Combine the beans, chili sauce, butter or fat and bay leaf in a baking dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour. Remove bay leaf.Serves 6. Recipe Source: THE ART OF JEWISH COOKING by Jennie Grossinger
