Black beans and sausage

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 medium Onion -- chopped
1 tablespoon Cooking oil
1 can Stewed tomatoes -- 14-1/2 OZ
1 can Black beans -- l5 oz.
Undrained
1 teaspoon Dried oregano
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
Salt to taste
cup Uncooked instant brown rice
1 pounds Pork sausage links -- cooked
& sliced

Directions

In a skillet, heat oil. Cook onion until tender. Add the tomataes, beans and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add sausage and let stand 5 minutes. Yield: 6-8 servings
