Cheddar cheese puff with a surprise - mildred davy

Ingredients

Other Cheddar, grated | ||
8 | tablespoons | Butter, at room temperature |
1 | cup | Flour, sifted |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Paprika |
48 | smalls | Green Stuffed Olives |
Well drained |
Directions
* Preheat oven to 400 F.
1. Blend the grated cheese and butter. Stir in the flour, salt and paprika. (This can be done completely in a food processor with a metal blade.)
2. Mold 1 tsp of mixture around each olive. Chill the puffs until firm, about 30 mins. Arrange the puffs on ungreased baking sheets.
3. Bake for 15 mins or until browned. (You can freeze the puffs, well wrapped for about 10 days. Bake them, frozen, until browned.) From the TILLAMOOK COUNTY FAIR of Tillamook, OR. Fair Dates: 2nd week of August for 4 days, Wed through Sat.
