Chicken breasts baked in cream

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 Whole chicken breasts
3 tablespoons Shortening
cup Chopped onion
1 Clove (small) garlic; minced
¾ cup Chicken broth
¾ cup Cream
teaspoon Salt
teaspoon Pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 300. Cut chicken breasts in half crosswise, making 4 serving pieces. In heavy skillet, brown chicken in shortening until golden.

Add remaining ingredients. Cover tightly. Bake about 2 hours or until tender. Just before serving, remove chicken from skillet while making pan gravy. Serve with rice. Serves 4.
