Chocolate date envelopes

1¼ | cup | All-purpose flour |
½ | cup | Butter; softened |
1 | pack | (3-oz) cream cheese; softened |
½ | pack | (12-oz) Nestle Toll House little bits semi-sweet chocolate |
1 | pack | (8-oz) pitted dates; chopped |
½ | cup | Finely chopped walnuts |
2 | teaspoons | Grated orange rind |
2 | teaspoons | Orange juice |
Confectioners' sugar |

FILLING
Cookies: In medium bowl, combine flour, butter and cream cheese; knead until well blended. Shape into ball; wrap in plastic wrap and chill.
Filling: In medium bowl, combine Nestle Toll House Little Bits semi-sweet chocolate, dates, walnuts, orange rind and juice. Press into ball. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On floured board, roll dough into 12-½ inch square; cut into 2-½ inch squares. Shape rounded teaspoonful Filling into log.
Place in center of square. Bring two diagonal corners of each square to the center and pinch. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool completely on wire racks. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Makes about 2 dozen 2-½ inch cookies.
