8 cups Tart cooking apples
Chopped peeled (about 3-1/2
Pounds)
½ cup Packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Directions

Place all ingredients in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from the heat; mash apples (a potato masher works well) until sauce is desired consistency. Serve warm or cold. Yield: 6 servings (about 3-½ cups)
