Smooth applesauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
13 ounces Jonathan or McIntosh apples
¼ cup Water
teaspoon Combined cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Directions

Wash the apples and cut into quarters but do not peel. Remove the cores and cut the quarters into chunks. Place in a saucepan with ¼ cup water and cook as for Chunky Applesauce. When the apples are tender, force through a sieve or the fine disc of a food mill. Season with the spices and eat hot, warm, or at room temperature.
