Corn sauce

Ingredients

½ | cup | Butter |
2 | Garlic cloves -- minced | |
1 | Onion -- 1/4\" dice | |
Kernels of 4 ears of corn | ||
4 | cups | Half & Half |
Salt and pepper | ||
2 | tablespoons | Cornstarch -- optional |
¼ | cup | Water -- optional |
Directions
Heat butter in medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add garlic and onion.
Cook until onion is tender. Add corn and cook 5-10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add half and half and bring to simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Whip mixture to blend. If thickened sauce is desired, mix corstarch with water and gradually add to sauce, stirring until sauce is smooth.
