Cottage cheese biscuits - country style

Ingredients

1 | cup | Cottage cheese, sieved |
2 | tablespoons | Butter, softened |
2 | tablespoons | Thin cream |
2 | cups | Sifted bread flour |
1 | Egg, beaten | |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
A pinch of ground thyme | ||
4 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
Directions
These are from The Gold Cook Book.
1. Cream together cottage cheese, butter, egg and cream.
2. Combine flour with salt, thyme and baking powder.
3. Make a hole in the flour mixture and dampin the cottage cheese mixture.
4. Gradually blend starting from the center and bringing down flour mixture from edge, making a soft dough. 5. Turn out on lightly floured board, knead 30 sec. then roll into ½" thickness.
6. Cut with floured biscuit cutter and place on ungreased baking sheet.
