Curried meat loaf

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon Plus (see next ingredient) reduced calorie margarine
2 smalls Sweet apples,peeled,chopped
½ cup Chopped onions
1 pounds Very lean ground beef
2 teaspoons Curry powder
teaspoon Garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 eaches Egg whites
¾ ounce Wheat germ
¾ cup Tomato sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Cook onion and apple in margarine until onion is lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Combine with remaining ingredients EXCEPT ½ cup of the tomato sauce, shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Top with remaining tomato sauce. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour.

Per serving: 24g protein, 18g fat, 16g carb., 405mg sodium, 70mg chol., 317 calories.
