Date filling for hamentaschen

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¼ cup Walnuts
2 cups Pitted dates
½ cup Sultana raisins
1 teaspoon Grated lemon rind; if desired
½ teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions

Steel Knife: Chop walnuts coarsely, about 4 or 5 seconds. Empty bowl.

Process dates with raisins, rind and cinnamon until minced, about 15 to 20 seconds. Add nuts with 1 or 2 quick on/off turns.

Yield: about 2 cups filling.

May be prepared in advance and refrigerated or frozen.
