Directions
1 2½ lb chuck or 7-bone roast 1 ts vegetable oil
1 cn (7 oz) Ortega chili salsa
1 ts brown sugar
½ ts garlic powder
1 ts salt
1. Heat oil in a Dutch oven or large, flameproof casserole. Brown meat on all sides on medium high heat.
2. Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl. pour over meat. Cover pan, reduce heat to low and simmer 2-½ to3 hours. Check roast after 2 hours.
If more liquid is needed, add a little water or wine.
