½ | pounds | Sweet pork sausage |
8 | cups | Fresh bread crumbs torn in coarse pieces |

Directions
Pour brandy and « cup orange juice over pears and prunes in a small bowl. Set aside for 1 hour to allow fruit to soften.
Preheat oven to 350ø.
Cook onions and garlic in butter in a large skillet over low heat until soft, about 20 minutes. Raise heat to medium, squeeze sausage from casing, and cook until crumbly, about 10 minutes. Combine sausage mixture, fruit mixture, remaining 1« cups orange juice, bread crumbs, and salt and pepper to taste in a large bowl.
Bake in a 9x11 pan in preheated oven for 35 minutes.
