Eggless batter for deep-fried shrimp

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup Flour
¼ cup Water
½ teaspoon Salt
1 dash Pepper
teaspoon Baking powder

Directions

1. Combine flour, water, salt and pepper. Beat with a fork until smooth.

2. Then blend in baking powder. VARIATION: In step 1, add 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 1 tablespoon each of soy sauce and sherry.
