Foolproof dark chocolate fudge (borden)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 eaches 6-oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate
Chips (3 cups)
1 each 14-oz can Eagle Brand condensed
Milk (not evaporated!)
1 each Dash of salt
½ cup Chopped nuts (to 1 cup)
teaspoon Vanilla extract

In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with milk and salt.

remove from heat; stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread evenly into wax paper-lined 8 or 9-inch square pan. chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temp. MICROWAVE: In qt glass measure, combine chips with milk and salt. Cook on 100% (high) for 3 minutes or until chips melt, stirring after each 1½ minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Preceed as above.
