Green salad with crispy fried tortilla chips

Ingredients

1 Lettuce; shredded finely
½ Onion; chopped finely
2 Tomatoes; chopped finely
6 Sprigs fresh coriander; chopped finely
2 Green chillies; chopped finely
; (optional)
250 grams Cooked chicken; turkey or beef, or
; flaked, canned tuna
; fish (8oz)
1 Lime or lemon; juice of
½ teaspoon Salt
A pinch of freshly ground black pepper
8 Tortillas; cut into small
; squares and
; deep-fried
1 Ripe avocado
1 Sprig fresh coriander

Directions

TO GARNISH

Mix together all the ingredients except the tortilla chips, 30 minutes before required.

Just before serving, add the crisp tortillas and toss lightly.

Cut the avocado into wedges and use it and the coriander sprigs as a garnish.
