Hot puffs filled with butter

2 | cups | Sifted flour |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Melted butter |
2 | teaspoons | Dry yeast |
1 | cup | Warm milk |
12 | tablespoons | Unsalted butter |
Directions
Mix flour and salt in bowl. Stir in melted butter. Dissolve yeast in ½ cup milk and add flour to mixture. Add rest of milk and mix to form dough. Knead lightly on floured board until rounded and smooth.
Roll out to ¼" thick and cut with 3" biscuit cutter. Lay rounds on buttered foil, cover with a towel and let rise 30 minutes. Fry on lightly buttered griddle 3-4 minutes until bottoms are brown. Turn and brown other side. Split and fill with remaining butter.
