Squash puffs

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Squash -- cooked
1 Egg -- beaten
cup Flour
cup Cornmeal
1 teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt -- or more
dash Pepper
1 medium Onion -- grated
cup Cooking oil

Directions

Combine squash and egg. Add all other ingredients except oil and mix until well blended. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop batter by level tablespoonful into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
