Lingonberry sauce - bon appetit

1 1/4 cups

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 10-oz jar Swedish lingonberries in sugar OR
1 cup Canned whole berry cranberry sauce
½ cup Ruby Port
2 tablespoons Brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Directions

Simmer lingonberries, Port and sugar in heavy small saucepan until thick and reduced to 1 C, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.

Whisk in mustard. Let cool to room temperature.

NOTE: They offer this sauce with a venison terrine at the Hotel Residence in Trondheim. Try it at home with grilled pork or chicken.
