Liver barbecue

Ingredients

4 | slices | Bacon |
1½ | pounds | Beef liver, sliced |
1 | large | Onion, cut in thin wedges |
1 | Clover garlic, minced | |
1 | 15 1/2 oz can | |
Barbecue-flavor sandwich | ||
Sauce | ||
¾ | cup | Water |
1 | tablespoon | Horseradish mustard |
Hot cooked noodles |
Directions
In large skillet cook bacon till crisp; drain, reserving 3 tablespoons drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon; set aside in reserved drippings brown liver quickly on both sides; remove and cut into strips. In same skillet cook onion and garlic till tender but not brown. Stir in sandwich sauce, water, and mustard. Season with some salt and pepper.
Return liver and crumbled bacon to skillet. Simmer, uncovered, till liver is tender, about 10 minutes. Serve over hot cooked noodles.
Makes 6 servings.
