Macaroni with mushroom

Ingredients

4 | ounces | Button mushroom |
4 | ounces | Butter |
1 | Container (8 oz) of single cream | |
12 | ounces | Short-cut macaroni |
Salt and pepper | ||
4 | ounces | Cooked ham |
2 | ounces | Grated Parmesan cheese |
½ | pint | White sauce |
Directions
Finely chop the mushrooms. Place in a small saucepan with 2 oz (50g) of the butter and cook gently for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cream.
Cook marcaroni in boiling salted water till tender. Drain. Cut the ham into pieces and add to the marcaroni with 1oz (25g) of cheese, 1 oz (25g) of butter and seasoning. Place marcaroni mixture and stir well. Cook gently for 10 minutes. Preheat grill. Pour white sauce over marcaroni, sprinkle with remaining cheese and dot with remaining butter. Grill for 5 mins.
