Microwave pilaf

Diced greenpepper | ||
Diced mushrooms | ||
1 | tablespoon | Oil; up to 2 |
Pepper | ||
Herbs of your choice- plenty | ||
1 | cup | Rice |
2 | cups | Boiling water |
Salt or parev chicken soup powder |
Directions
In a microwave proof cassarole heat oil then soft saute the vegetables for 5 mins. Add rice, boiling water, herbs and pepper and soup powder. Cover tightly and cook on high for 18-20 minutes. You don't have to check, or stir during the cooking.
Bits of meat or fish could be added to make a one dish meal. This reheats easily
