Mom's vinegar pie

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Butter
½ cup Sugar
3 tablespoons Flour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Cloves
¼ teaspoon Allspice
teaspoon Salt
1 Egg
2 tablespoons Vinegar
1 cup Water
1 Pie crust

Directions

Cream Butter and Sugar. Add dry ingredients, egg, vinegar and water.

Cook in top of a double boiler until thickened, stirring constantly.

Line pie pan with pastry. Bake in a moderate oven (350F) 3 minutes then pour in filling and continue baking until crust is brown.
