1½ | cup | Frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed |
2 | Eggs | |
1 | cup | Bread crumbs |
1 | teaspoon | Seafood seasoning |
½ | teaspoon | Onion powder |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
⅛ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
3 | tablespoons | Vegetable oil |
Directions
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the oil; mix well then form into 12 patties. In a large skillet, heat the oil just until hot (not smoking) over medium heat. Add the patties and pan try for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden brown. NOTE: if you want to get more of the taste and texture of authentic crab cakes without breaking the bank, you can shred a small can of real crabmeat and mix it in, too!
