Neiman marcus delicate lemon squares

Ingredients

1 | Stick butter | |
¼ | cup | Confectioners sugar |
2 | Eggs | |
¾ | cup | Sugar |
3 | tablespoons | Lemon juice |
2 | tablespoons | Flour |
½ | teaspoon | Double-acting baking powder |
Additional confectioners sugar |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend 1 cup flour, butter, and ¼ cup confectioners sugar until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Pat the mixture into an 8" square baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until the mixture is pale golden.
In another bowl, beat eggs until light and lemon colored. Beat in sugar and lemon juice. Continue beating 8 additional minutes. Sift in 2 T flour and baking powder. Stir until well combined. Pour lemon mixture over baked layer. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until golden. Sift additional confectioner's sugar over top of dessert. Let cool. Cut into squares.
