Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
1 | pack | (10 oz) frozen green peas, thawed (use microwave) |
¼ | cup | Chopped onion |
½ | cup | Chopped green pepper |
½ | cup | Chopped celery |
2 | cans | (6 oz) sliced water chestnuts (drained) |
1 | teaspoon | Sugar |
8 | ounces | Large curd cottage cheese |
½ | cup | Mayonnaise |
Optional: | ||
1 | cup | Shredded mozarella cheese |
¼ | cup | Real bacon-bits |
Directions
Combine ingredients in order listed. Mix until well blended. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Serves 6.
Note: The "optional" is what I added that Pam did not include with her original recipe. This definitely goes into my keeper file. There's just about enough for hubby to take in his lunch tomorrow. He ate the majority of what was there....and raved about it.
You know, I think this would be good with a couple of fresh tomato wedges added as well.
