Pesto pie

3 | cups | Garlic |
½ | cup | Parmesan Cheese |
5 | tablespoons | Olive Oil |
1 | cup | Toasted walnuts or pine nuts |
2 | tablespoons | Butter |
1 | tablespoon | Oil |
1 | cup | Chopped Onion |
15 | ounces | Ricotta Cheese |
4 | Eggs | |
dash | White Pepper | |
dash | Salt | |
dash | Nutmeg |
Directions
Using first four ingredients make pesto in a blender until creamy. Then = saute onion in oil and butter until soft. Then whisk ricotta cheese and eggs with onion. Add spices and pour into prepared pie pan. Top with pesto and swirl pesto into pie. Bake at 375ø for 30 minutes until firm and set.

NOTES : For crust cut 4½ tablespoons chilled shortening and ¼ cup butter e until a ball is formed roll out, put into a 9" pie pan and bake with foil more. You can use a pre-made pie crust just bake as directed above. Also
