Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich (lower fat)

4 Servings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
Nonstick butter-flavored cooking spray
1 cup Thinly sliced onion rings
½ cup Thinly sliced green bell pepper
½ cup Thinly sliced red bell pepper
12 ounces Swanky Flanky steak; very thinly sliced
4 French or hoagie-style rolls, halved lengthwise
4 ounces Reduced-fat cheddar or Muenster cheese, thinly sliced

Directions

Coat nonstick medium skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat. Add onion and bell peppers. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes, adding a little water from time to time to prevent sticking and overbrowning. Preheat broiler. Divide sliced flank steak over opened rolls.

Cover with onion mixture. Top with cheese. Broil, close to heat source, 1 minute or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
