Pickled pineapple

1 each No. 2 1/2 can pineapple
Chunks or slices
¾ cup Vinegar
cup Granulated sugar
pinch Salt
6 eaches To 8 whole cloves
1 each 4\" stick cinnamon

Directions

Week or so ahead: Into saucepan, drain syrup from pineapple; add vinegar, sugar, salt, cloves, and cinnamon. Simmer, uncovered, 10 min.; add pineapple chunks. Bring to boil. Cool; refrigerate. Nice with poultry, meat, or fish, or as hors d'oeuvres.
