Pineapple custard sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Syrup from the tin
2 teaspoons Pineapple custard powder
3 teaspoons Sugar
½ teaspoon Pineapple essence
2 slices Very finely chopped tinned pineapple

Directions

Mix syrup & cornflour in a heavy pan. Cook on low heat, stirring continuously, till mixture turns transparent, and coats the back of a spoon.

Add pineapple bits, essence and stir. Serve warm.

Variations:

Use canned litchies, mixed fruit, cherries etc. instead of grapes. Change the flour of the custard powder respectively.

Use few drops colour where desired.
