Raw cabbage pickle (old)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large Head cabbage
tablespoon Salt
1 teaspoon Celery or mustard seed
½ cup Sugar
¾ cup Vinegar

Directions

Shred cabbage coarsely. Add salt and sugar and work it well into the cabbage. Add vinegar and spice and let stand 12 hours before serving.
