4 pounds (To 6) Stewing Hen, Cleaned,
Towel-Dried And -- loose fat
4 slices Ginger
2 tablespoons Sherry
-----Ingredients----- removed
3 cups Boiling Water
cup Soy Sauce
2 teaspoons Honey

Directions

SEASONINGS

1. Place the hen in a dutch oven with the boiling water.

2. After the mixture comes to a boil, add all seasonings and return to a boil.

3. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours, or until it is done.

4. Serve the chicken with boiled white steamed rice, and the cooking sauce (skim off the fat).
