Sharon barbour's apple crisp

Ingredients

6 | Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled, and sliced thin (up to 8) | |
1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
½ | cup | Granulated sugar |
¼ | cup | Brown sugar, packed |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
¼ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
3 | tablespoons | Flour |
¾ | cup | Rolled or quick-cooking oats |
¾ | cup | Flour |
¼ | cup | Granulated sugar |
¼ | cup | Brown sugar, packed |
⅓ | cup | Margerine, softened |
Directions
TOPPING
Place apples in a large casserole dish. drizzle lemon juice over. Combine remaining ingredients for filling and toss with apples until thoroughly coated.
Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over apples. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes, or until center is bubbly.
Personal note: The first time I made this was October, 1995. All the kids came back here and spent the night after the homecoming dance, and I made this for breakfast next morning. Rave reviews! It has since become a regular for us.
