Simply elegant steak and rice

Ingredients

1½ | pounds | Boneless inside,round steak |
1½ | tablespoon | Oil |
2 | larges | Onions,rings cut 1/2\" |
10 | ounces | Can mushroom soup |
10 | ounces | Can sliced mushrooms & liq. |
½ | cup | Dry sherry (opt) |
1½ | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
Directions
Cut steak into thin strips. In a large skillet brown meat in hot oil.
Add onions and saute until tender crisp. Blend together soup, liquid from mushrooms, sherry and garlic salt and pour over steak. Add the mushrooms. Reduce heat, cover and simmer mixture for 1 hour, or until tender. Serve with fluffy rice. Submitted By CAROL VERGE On 04-13-95
