Southern pecan pie

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
Pastry for 1 crust pie
2 tablespoons Flour
1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
3 Eggs; lightly beaten
2 cups Dark corn syrup; (1 bottle of Karo)
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup Pecan halves

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 425F.

2. Line a 9" pie plate with the pastry.

3. Combine the flour and sugar and add to the beaten eggs, beating well. Add the corn syrup, vanilla and pecans, stirring well to blend.

4. Pour the pecan mixture into the pie shell and bake 10 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 325F and continue baking about 45 minutes.
