1 teaspoon Salt
4 pounds Beef chuck roast
½ teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Ginger
½ teaspoon Pepper
¼ cup Catsup
1 cup Water
2 tablespoons Vinegar
2 Garlic cloves -- crushed

Directions

H-------------------Gravy Melt shortening in a large skillet, or large pan you can bake in. Brown meat over medium heat about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat;add water to skillet or baking pan, and cover tightly . Place in 325 degree Place meat on warm platter; keep warm while making gravy. Serve gravy with meat. 6-8 serv. Spicy Gravy Pour drippings into bowl, leaving brown particles in pan. Let fat rise to top of drippings; skim off fat, reserving ¼ cup. Place reserved fat in pan.
