Spiced pecans - country living

Ingredients

3 cups Pecan halves
2 tablespoons Butter, melted
1 Large egg white
2 tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Ground cloves
¼ teaspoon Ground allspice
teaspoon Hot red-pepper sauce

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350'F. On large baking sheet, stir together pecans and butter. Bake pecans 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned, Cool pecans on baking sheet on wire rack 10 minutes.

2. In small bowl, combine egg white, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and pepper sauce; stir into browned pecans. Bake pecans 5 to 8 minutes longer, stirring occasionally, until spice mixture hardens.

3. Cool pecans on sheet on wire rack to room temperature. Stir to break up nuts, if necessary. Transfer to serving bowl.
