Squash and apple casserole

3 | cups | Squash, butternut; cubed, cooked |
1½ | cup | Apples; stewed |
Salt | ||
¾ | cup | Sugar, brown; firmly packed |
6 | tablespoons | Butter (or marg.) |
Cinnamon, ground |
Directions
Place 1 cup squash in a buttered casserole; top with ½ cup apples.
Sprinkle lightly with salt and ¼ cup sugar; dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Repeat layers twice; sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
