Directions
Pare and slice 2 to 4 apples. Place the following in microwave dish with cover: ⅔ cup red dry or semi-sry wine, ⅔ cup sugar, 1 stick cinnamon, 4 cloves, ½ tsp salt (optional), and ½ thinly sliced lemon. Heat mixture of wine and seasoning for 2 mins on high with the lid on the dish. Pour sauce into measuring cup. Place apples in the same microwave dish and pour the sauce over the apples. Replace lid and cook on high 4-6 mins, basting apples every minute until done.
Makes 3 to 4 servings.
