Steak and onion salad

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 pounds Flank steak
teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Ground black pepper
4 cups Leaf lettuce; in pieces
1 medium Onion; thinly sliced (2 c)
2 cups Cucumber; thinly sliced
1 cup Sweet red bell pepper; sliced
¼ cup Olive oil
3 tablespoons Lime juice
¼ cup Fresh dill; chopped

Directions

Preheat broiler. Season steak with ¼ tsp of the salt and ⅛ teaspoon of the ground black pepper.

Broil 1 to 2 inches from the heat until desired doneness (3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare).

Cut into thin slices; cool slightly. Place in a large salad bowl with lettuce, onions, cucumber and red pepper, set aside. In a cup, combine olive oil, lime juice, dill and remaining 1 teaspoon salt and ⅛ teaspoon black pepper; pour over salad; serve immediately.
